aerial surveillance
GENERAL INFORMATION
Surveillance, by definition, includes the close watch over someone, something, a place, a process or an inspection such as pipelines powerlines or road networks.
Aerial HotShots Pty Ltd is authorised by its Air Operators Certificate (AOC 1-A0AIH-03) to perform aerial surveillance functions and other observation functions including fire, flood, fish, flora and fauna spotting.
The aircraft is generally crewed by a pilot and observer(s). Crew assigned to these duties are 'specialists' (contact us for more details) and have had police background checks and have signed our company confidentiality agreements.
Clients have the option to use one of our observers and/or provide their own specialist or technical observer such as a government or private investigator, security consultant or analyst or law enforcement officer.
CONFIDENTIALITY
Aerial HotShots attempts to employ only pilots & observers with 'specilaist skills' (contact us for details) or employees with police background clearances for surveillance operations. The company has a strict confidentiality of information policy and all employees have to sign confidentiality agreements
THE AIRCRAFT
Aerial HotShots uses a 2001 Cessna 172s for our aerial surveillance patrols. This is a 4 seat aircraft that can patrol at 70Kts (120kph) and cruises at 110kts (200Kph). The aircraft has the capacity to hold 200 ltrs of fuel for long surveillance patrols.
The aircraft is equipped with a vertical camera system designed to capture vertical images of a target site. (see examples below)
The aircraft has fully openable windows so that the observer, using our 'surveillance pack' including Digital SLR cameras, can capture oblique images of the same target. This provides complete aerial imagery of the target site.

AIRCRAFT SURVEILLANCE EQUIPMENT
Aerial HotShots uses a 'surveillance pack' consisting of various Nikon Digital SLR cameras fitted with an array of camera lenses, stablised binoculars, a camcorder and the vertical camera system to provide the complete aerial surveillance solution.

SURVEILLANCE EXAMPLES
The examples below are just that. They are provided as a sample only and do not reflect on any assignment this company has undertaken. The zoomed in images were shot with our 70-300mm zoom lens. For closer in shots we use our 80-400mm lens.
Example 1: A 'vertica'l image is taken of a factory using our vertical camera system and then using our surveillance lenses we zoom into a target such as a 'dumpster bin' to identify its contents.

Example 2: A 'vertical' image is taken of a vessel using our 'vertical' camera system and then using our surveillance lenses we zoom in and onto a target.

Who or Whats aboard the vessel? |

Example 3 On a target site we might locate a vehicle and want to see its contents. Using our surveillance lenses we do just that.
