Aerial Spotting
Aerial HotShots uses a 2001 Cessna 172s for our aerial spotting patrols. This is a 4 seat aircraft that can patrol at 70Kts (120kph) and cruises at 110kts (200Kph). The aircraft has the capacity to hold 200 ltrs of fuel for long spotting patrols.
The aircraft is generally crewed by a pilot and observer(s).
Clients have the option to use one of our observers or provide their own specialist or technical observer such as a government or private investigator, security consultant or analyst or law enforcement officer.
The aircraft is equipped with a vertical camera system designed to capture vertical images of a target site. The aircraft has fully openable windows so that the observer, using our Digital SLR cameras, can capture oblique images of the same target. This provides complete aerial imagery of the target site.
The company is authorised by its Air Operators Certificate (AOC 1-A0AIH-01) to perform the following aerial spotting functions:
