Aerial Photography is a commercial operation as defined by section 206 of the Civil Aviation Regulations 1988. This means providers of aerial photography services MUST either have their own Air Operators Certificate (AOC). This ensures the aviation company and pilot possess the skills required to perform operations safely and is designed to eliminate Rogue operators.
Aerial Hotshots has its own Air Operators Certificate (AOC 1-A0AIH-04) that authorises, aerial photography, aerial surveillance, aerial spotting, search and rescue and pipeline survey.
As we are appropriately licensed we can obtain appropriate insurance cover. Aerial Hotshots has Aerial & Ground Public liability insurance to the value of $20 million.
Do Not leave yourself open to civil litigation by commissioning an unlicensed or uninsured operator!!!
Ask operators to provide you with proof of appropriate licensing and insurance.
